Kendrick Lamar's Opens 2015 BET Awards with Alright

I haven't been feeling Kendrick Lamar since he made these comments,
What happened to [Michael Brown] should've never happened. Never. But when we don't have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within. Don't start with just a rally, don't start from looting -- it starts from within."
However, he opened the BET Awards with a powerful performance with Alright.

Janelle Monae's Yoga and Jidenna's Classic Man

Jidenna is Nigerian, so you know I had to showcase his and Janelle Monae's performance in this post!

Puffy's Celebrates 20 Years of Bad Boy Records with Ma$e, 112, Faith, Lil Kim, The Lox, Pharrell, Christian Combs and Chris Brown

*tear* This was EPIC! #Memories

Puffy and his former BFF Ma$e reunite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Biggie and Puffy taught me everything I needed to know back in the day about people with PhDs aka playa hater degrees, which I commonly refer to as josers (jealous ones STILL envy, shouts to Fat Joe).

But most importantly, Puff and Big taught me that a hater can be anyone or ANYTHING, and in this case... it was the 2015 BET Award stage.
It tried to playa hate on Puff while he performed his hits.

However Puffy, can't stop, won't stop!

Faith Evans performs Love Like This while Puffy dances alongside her in support.

If you look really close you can see the sweat from Puff's forehead make its way down to his 2nd or 3rd neck roll... now that's what you call a damn good time!

Lil Kim aka Queen Bitch, Supreme Bitch literally rises from above ground in her iconic Hardcore poster stance for her All About the Benjamins remix performance! #Baw$e

"You can NEVER be me; you can ONLY resemble!" -Lil Kim

Jadakiss and Sheek from The Lox perform their classic All About the Benjamins remix alongside Puff and Kim.

Pharrell 'New Black' Williams helps Puffy and the Bad Boy family celebrate their 25th anniversary.

Pharrell ignorantly explained to media conglomerate Oprah Winfrey, while discussing the racial climate in America,

"The New Black doesn't blame other races for our issues."

"The New Black dreams and realizes that it's not pigmentation: it's mentality, and it's either going to work for you or it's going to work against you. And you've got to pick the side you're going to be on." #ChainsOnTheBrain

I thoroughly enjoyed and partied (with the exception of French Montana's portion) to the Bad Boy families 20th anniversary tribute performance at this year's BET Awards!

Damn! Those were some AMAZING times... memories!

Donnie McClurkin pays tribute to Andrae Crouch

Smokey Robinson performs his classics The Tracks of My Tears and Cruisin' after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's BET Awards.

"...It's a blessing and we should all know from whom our blessings flow." -Smokey Robinson

Radio legend Tom Joyner received the Humanitarian Award at this year's BET Awards for all of his philanthropic efforts in the Black community which include providing scholarships to African-American/Black students to Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

During Mr. Joyner's acceptance speech he spoke on the importance of African-Americans/Blacks being our own storytellers, and I could not agree with Mr. Joyner more.

Who knows us and can give an accurate depiction of our story better than we can.

Silento and the cast of Black-ish perform the 'Nae Nae'.

Everyone did their thing, but Miles and Marsai killed it! #Cuteness

The stars of Black-ish, Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross made a fashionably duo as host of the 2015 BET Awards.

Tracee also collaborated with designer James Knox for this show-stopping 70s disco-inspired silvery jumpsuit 'fit by designer Janta Miniau.

Rapper Nicki Minaj collaborated with her boyfriend, rapper Meek Mill, onstage as they performed Mill's latest single All Eyes.

This year Uncle Charlie Wilson was a presenter at the Awards, but he still managed to give us more than a little two-step!

The Cast of Empire Perform No Apologies, Drip Drop Featuring Juicy J and You're So Beautiful

Empire's Bryshere Gray aka Yazz performs No Apologies at the BET Awards.

Serayah McNeil and Yazz perform fan favorite, Drip Drop!

Yaaasss, bitch, YAAASSS!

Serayah killed every look she wore at this year's BET Awards!

Jussie Smollett performs You're So Beautiful.

"We live in a nation where freedom is what we represent yet we are still fighting everyday for the basic freedoms of all of our people. Let the Supreme Court ruling be proof of how far we have come. Let the deaths of our sisters and brothers be proof of how far we have to go. No one is free until we are all free." -Jussie Smollett

PREACH, Jussie!

Tinashe, Ciara and Jason Derulo Perform a Medley of Dances in Honor of Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 25th Anniversary

Ciara fully committed to her Janet Jackson tribute and donned similar Janet J. hair and clothes for the performance!

Fetty Wap Closes the Show with His Smash Single Trap Queen

I think I get so much life off of Trap Queen because it's a go-go song on the low!
