ALBUM SALES FOR THE WEEK ENDING OCTOBER 7


No. 1 Mumford & Sons' Babel sold 169,000 copies this week, bringing the band's total sales to 769,000.
No. 2 Muse's The 2nd Law debuts with 101,000 copies sold this week.
No. 3 Miguel's Kaleidoscope Dream debuts with 71,000 copies sold this week.
No. 4 P!nk's The Truth About Love sold 52,000 copies this week, bringing her total sales to 426,000.
No. 5 Three Days Grace's Transit of Venus debuts with 48,000 copies sold this week.
No. 6 Diana Krall's Glad Rag Doll debuts with 46,000 copies sold this week.
No. 7 Jackie Evancho's Songs From the Silver Screen no! debuts with 41,000 copies sold this week.
No. 8  Little Big Town's Tornado sold 31,000 copies this week, bringing their total sales to 228,000.
No. 9 Cher Lloyd's Sticks & Stones debuts with 31,000 copies sold this week.
No. 10 Green Day's iUno! sold roughly 30,000 copies this week, bringing their total sales to roughly 169,000.

Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Oct. 7) totaled 5.35 million units, down 6% compared with the sum last week (5.71 million) and up 4% compared with the comparable sales week of 2011 (5.13 million). Year-to-date album sales stand at 223.78 million, down 4% compared with the same total at this point last year (233.63 million). Billboard
