ALBUM SALES FOR THE WEEK ENDING AUGUST 28

No. 1 Game's R.E.D debuts with 98,000 copies sold this week. 
No. 2 Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne sold 94,000 copies this week, bringing their total sales to 707,000.
No. 3 Adele’s 21 sold 82,000 albums sold this week, bringing her total sales to 3,135,000.
No. 4 Barbara Streisand What Matters Most debuts with 68,000 copies sold this week. 
No. 5 Pistol Annies' Hell On Heels debuts with 44,000 copies sold this week.
No. 6 Now That’s What I Call Music 39 sold 44,000 copies this week, bringing total sales to 217,000.
No. 7 Luke Bryan’s Tailgates & Tanlines sold 35,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 233,000.
No. 8 Muppets: the Green Album debuts with 30,000 copies sold this week.
No. 9 Jason Aldean's My Kind Of Party sold 29,000 copies this week.
No. 10 Eric Church's Chief sold 24,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 104,000.

No. 12 Beyonce's sold 21,000 copies this week, bringing her total sales to 700,000.

Speaking of Mrs. Carter, according to MTV News  Beyonce's VMAs performance of Love On Top and the big announcement no doubt (her baby bump ,her lovely lady humps, sorry couldn't resist), have boosted the album cut onto the Top 10 on the iTunes songs chart. The album cut currently sits at No. 6 but has peaked at No. 5. The 4 album which has peaked at No. 4, is currently at No. 10. 



No. 15 Royce Da 5'9 and Eminem's Bad Meets Evil's Hell:The Sequel sold 18,000 copies this week, bringing the duo's total album sales to 481,000.
No. 20 Rihanna’s Loud sold 15,000 copies this week, bringing her total album sales to 1,433,000.
No. 33 Kelly Rowland's Here I Am sold 9,000 copies this week, bringing her total sales to 140,000.

No. 35 Jill Scott's Light Of The Sun sold 9,000 copies this week, bringing her total album sales to 313,000.
No. 36 Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday sold 9,000 copies this week bringing her total album sales to 1,553,000.
No. 37 Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans sold 9,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 1,236,000.
No. 40 Amy Winehouse's Back To Black sold 9,000 copies this week, bringing her total album sales to 2,421,000.
No. 44 Eminem’s Recovery sold 8,000 copies this week, bringing his total album sales to 4,008,000.
No. 45 Pitbull's Planet Pit sold 8,000 copies this week, bringing his total album sales to 182,000.
No. 50 Wiz Khalifa's Rolling Papers sold 7,000 copies this week, bringing his total album sales to 556,000.
No. 57 Big Sean's Finally Famous 7,000 copies this week, bringing his total album sales to 196,000.
No. 61 Ace Hood's Blood, Sweat & Tears sold 6,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 43,000.
No. 83 Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame's Ferrari Boyz sold 5,000 copies this week, bringing their total to 28,000.
No. 96 Tyler, The Creator's Goblin sold 4,000 copies this week, bringing his total album sales to 108,000.
No. 152 Royce Da 5'9's Success Is Certain sold 3,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales 23,000.
Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Aug. 28) totaled 5.14 million units, down 4% compared to the sum last week (5.35 million) and up less than 1% compared to the comparable sales week of 2010 (5.13 million). Year to date album sales stand at 199.91 million, up 2% compared to the same total at this point last year (195.33 million). It is the 14th week in a row where year-to-date album volume is greater than the same time in the prior year. Billboard
