ALBUM SALES FOR THE WEEK ENDING FEB. 6



No. 1 Nicki Minaj's “Pink Friday” sold 42,000 copies this week bringing her total album sales to 1,035,000.

Although I have been hard on Nicki in the past, I have to give credit where credit is due…Nicki is “kind of a big deal” right now! Nonetheless, I’m still not a fan of her music…like she gives 2 shits.

Minaj’s album reaching the No. 1 spot this week signifies the first time since Eve’s 1999 album, “Let There Be Eve” that a female hip hop artist has had the No. 1 album in the country.

No. 2 Red’s “Until We Have Faces” sold 43,000 albums this week.
No. 3 Ricky Martin’s “Musica + Alma + Sexo” debuted this week with 32,000 copies of his album sold.
No. 4 Bruno Mars’ “Doo-Woop & Hooligans” sold 32,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 627,000.
No. 5 Rihanna’s “Loud” sold 29,000 copies this week bringing her total album sales to 895,000.
No. 6 Kidz Bop 19 sold 28,000 albums this week.
No.  7 Jason Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” sold 27,000 album this week.
No. 8 Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” sold 27,000 albums this week.
No. 9 Pink’s “Greatest Hits…So Far!!!” sold 27,000 albums this week.
No. 10 Eminem’s “Recovery” sold 25,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 3,535,000.

No. 16 Jaime Foxx’s “Best Night Of My Life” sold 20,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 270,000.
No. 18 R. Kelly’s “Love Letter” sold 19,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 386,000.
No. 20 Black Eye Peas’ “The Beginning” sold 19,000 copies this week bringing the group total album sales to 474,000.
No. 22 Kanye West’s “My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy” sold 18,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 998,000.
No. 25 Lil Wayne’s “I’m Not A Human Being” sold 15,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 733,000.
No. 28 T.I.’s “No Mercy” sold 15,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 410,000.
No. 33 Keyshia Cole’s “Calling All Hearts” sold 13,000 copies this week bringing her total album sales to 227,000.
No. 41 Black Eye Peas’ “The  E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies)” sold 11,000 copies this week bringing the group total album sales to 2,958,000.
No. 42 Wisin Y Yandel’s “Los Vaqueros: El Regreso” sold 11,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 42,000.
No. 43 Keri Hilson’s “No Boys Allowed” sold 11,000 copies this week bringing her total album sales to 193,000.
No. 44 Trey Songz’s “Passion, Pain & Pleasure” sold 11,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 673,000.
No. 102 Talib Kweli’s “Gutter Rainbow” sold 5,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 19,000.
No. 188 Soulja Boy’s “DeAndre Way” sold 3,000 copies this week bringing his total album sales to 56,000.



Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Feb. 6) totaled 5.5 million units, up 4% compared to the sum last week (5.3 million) and down 18% compared to the comparable sales week of 2010 (6.7 million). Year to date album sales stand at 26.3 million, down 14% compared to the same total at this point last year (30.7 million). Source: Billboard
