So the other night A&E Intervention featured former City High member Robby Pardlo (*hint* the thick one with the Duke kit texturizer) because of his alcohol addiction.

If you Chicks and Dicks remember in late 1999 early 2000, the New Jersey based group, rose to prominence with their single “What Would You Do.” The single was first featured on the soundtrack to the movie Life starring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence and then was re-released as the group’s debut single two years later.

The group soon released the follow up smash single “Carmel”; their album was certified gold by the RIAA and the group was even nominated for a Grammy. However the good times would not last long for Robby.

Robby and his family members discussed during the episode of Intervention how his life and career took a nose dive after his then girlfriend and band mate Claudette Ortiz dumped him and started dating fellow City High member Ryan Toby (he appeared in Sister Act 2 as the character "Ahmal" with Lauryn Hill). Shortly after the breakup the group disbanded.

Robby began abusing alcohol and his situation spiraled so out of control that he almost missed the birth of his daughter Lyric because he was at the bar getting drunk.

Wow! It’s crazy how Robby allowed his breakup with Claudette to affect his life so negatively. I myself know how devastating it can be when a relationship ends that you’ve invested so much time and energy into. It’s hard to move on sometimes, but trust me, it may sound cliché, but everything REALLY does have happen for a reason.

With that said, Toby and Ortiz later married and have two children together. Toby went on to be a very successful writer. He has written songs for artists such as: Will Smith, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Monica and many more. Most notably he wrote "Susperstar," "Caught Up," and "Follow Me" off of Usher's 9x plaintinum album Confession.

However, Ortiz reportedly also had a third child with someone other than her husband Toby. See Robby I told you that things have a way of working themselves out!

On February 5, 2010 Oscar-nominated actress/rapper Queen Latifah and mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs will be hosting a benefit concert to aid the Haiti relief. The concert will be recorded in Miami with performances by Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Chris Brown, Ciara and Robin Thicke.

The concert will be broadcasted on various networks which include BET, MTV and VH1.

My heart is really full by the outpouring of support Haiti has received that run the gamut from the everyday American (roughly $58 million dollars was raised at the Hope for Haiti telethon…OUTSTANDING!!!) to some of todays biggest celebrities in the music, film and television industry. It's times like these that I’m  REALLY proud to be an American!

Check out a video of Queen Latifah on Jimmy Fallon discussing the details regarding the benefit concert (around the 2:00 minute mark) below.

So the other day, I was listening to Kanye’s Bittersweet (Poetry) featuring John Mayer and Keyshia Cole (who else would think to bring these two artist together on one song) and it got me to thinking about how truly talented Mr. West is and how much the music game needs him.

Yes, I said need! Sure he has the tendency to kirk out on live television regarding a number of topics ranging from the lack of love former President Bush has for black people to objecting irately when he or a fellow artist is snubbed for an award, but he’s “an artist and he’s sensitive about his shit (© E. Badu)!”

Not only does Kanye add some excitement to the game, but he is arguably the most talented producer/artist combination we’ve experienced in a long time.

If nothing else, you have to respect the fact that Kanye is so passionate about music, that he’s willing to make a complete ass of himself, even if it may be at the expense of his career.

Listen to Bittersweet off of Kanye’s Graduation album below.

"And she claim she only with me for the currency
You cut me deep bitch, cut me like surgery
And I was too proud to admit that it was hurting me
I'd never do that to you, at least purposely
We breaking up again, we making up again
But we don't love no more, I guess we fucking then
Have you ever felt you ever want to kill her?
And you mix them emotions with tequila
And you mix that with a little bad advice
On one of those bad nights, ya'll have a bad fight
And you talking 'bout her family, her aunts and shit
And she say "Motherfucker, yo momma's a bitch!"
You know, domestic drama and shit, all that attitude
I'll never hit a girl, but I'll shake the shit outta you!
But I'mma be the bigger man, Big Pimpin' like Jiggaman
Oh I guess I figure it's..."

The Hope for Haiti telethon aired last night on almost every major television network as well as the major cable networks (with the exception with a few networks like LAMES A$$ FOX NEWS, shocking right...NOT!). The telethon was broadcasted for 2 hours commercial-free.

I think what moved me the most about the telethon were the miracle stories featured throughout the telethon of the young and old trapped for several days under the rubble of collapsed buildings, that survived to tell their stories.

The outpouring of support that the Haiti relief has garnered since the earthquakes has made me a firm believer in the power of the human race to make a difference one person at a time.

Check out all the wonderful performances by some of your favorite artist below.

Alicia Keys performs Preclude to a Kiss

Cold Play performs A Message

Stevie Wonder performs A Time to Love/ Bridge Over Troubled Water

Beyonce performs Halo

Madonna performs Like A Prayer

Jay-Z (feat. Bono and Rihanna) performs Stranded -- Haiti Mon Amour

Sting perfoms Driven To Tears

Wyclef performs Rivers of Babylon/ Yele

Mary J. Blige performs Hard Times Come Again No More

Taylor Swift performs Breathless

Jennifer Hudson performs Let It Be

The Golden Globes went down tonight at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles and we have some flicks of your favorite celebs on the red carpert.

I have to admit, I was less than impressed with a majority of the gowns worn tonight on the red carpet. I feel like most of the celebs knew it was going to rain and just said "PHUCK IT, I'mma just put this joint on!"

My apologies in advance for my lack of enthusiam, but if you celebs don't care about how you look, why should we? Next time, do us all a favor and stay your a$$ at  home if you can't come better...cause it really is a waste of our time! Signed: Roxxanne Bittermuch Roxxanne!

We hear at The Chick Fix would like to give a round of applause to our girl Monique for her Golden Globe win for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Mary Jones in Precious. For a complete list of winners click here.

Monique is all smiles while posing with her Golden Globe award. Sidebar: I love you to death Nique Nique, but those hairy a$$ arms our NOT the business (this is coming from a fellow hairy-armed girl...dag now you got me all self-conscious about ever wearing a sleeveless ANYTHING!

Nique Nique & her hubby

Sandra Bullock...just WHY??? I mean not only have you RUINED my favorite color for me tonight, but this dress looks cheap as shit! What type of material is that...Rayon? I forgive you and congratulations on your Best Actress win tonight!

Chloe Sevigny, one of my top 5's (bias much?) pulled off this Valentino gown effortlessly. This dress would have looked like straight RUFFLE FOOLISHNESS on most women (and trannys). Congratulations to Chloe for her Best Actress in a Supporting Role win for Big Love!

Christina Augilera looked pretty darn smashing in her peach-metal hardware Versace gown. This is the BEST I've ever seen Xtina look...what a difference the removal of some hooker-red lipstick can make! I also take back what I said about her new actually looks MARVELOUS darling now that you let a professional style it!

A visibly pregnant Paula Patton and her husband Robin Thicke hit the red carpets. They were one of the few glimmers of hope on the red carpet tonight.

How phucking cute is Ginnifer Goodwin in her new pixie cut? The cut, makeup and jewels really boost her royal blue gown from just "ok" to "damn whoadie, that's the hotness rightcher!"

HATED IT! Fergie wearing a lavender gown by Eli Saab posed on the red carpet with her hubby Josh Duhamel. Fergie's dress is giving me small town beauty pageant contestant. Josh who is usually a bun looks all sweaty, pervy and just plain BASIC (© Lil Duval)...phuckhappenedtoyou?

Zoe Saldana donned a Louis Vuitton gown, HATED IT! I want to dig her and her style for that matter.... but I feel NOTHING (sorry)!

Precious star, Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe posed for the camera on the red carpet. Sadly, not even her killer smile and winning personality could win me over on that GREEN MONSTROSITY of a gown. Please don't be mad Gabs, I'm just being honest!

*Psst* you should have won tonight for your role as Precious (come on Sandra B, you already know what is and what it ain't!).

Kate Hudson wore probably my favorite look of the night! I absolutely LOVE this Marchesa dress! Kate not so much! She has that rare quality (or lackthereof) of looking real trailerish in the most exquisite gown.

Whew! That dress is not a game...the shoes on the other hand is like Uno on steriods...and that's so laaammmmme!
Mike Tyson and his wife look pretty good. He still scares the boo boo out of me...look at that scowl, sad part is he's actually smiling...YIKES! The top of Iron Mike wife's dress is so tight she looks like she has third undeveloped boob growing out of her arm pit...Ew!

Jennifer Aniston stuck to her signature: classic lines and basic black look...and it works for her. She looks BEAUTIFUL!
Mariah and Nick hit up Globes in support of MiMi's film Precious. The couple look great and disappointly too safe considering MiMi usual attire. Thank the good lord MiMi's sallys look like they are about to make a mad dash or all would have been lost!

George Clooney and his latest girlfriend hit up the Globes. Clooney looks like a blind Moses (damn can you see patna?) and his new boo...tattoos + gowns = BASIC! I see someone is trying to give Tiny and dem a run for their money!

Musician Wyclef Jean will join actor George Clooney and CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper in hosting MTV Networks’Hope for Haiti,” a global telethon to raise funds to aid Haiti.

The telethon will feature a number of celebrity appearances and performances which will be announced in the coming days. The telethon will be broadcasted commercial free on CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on January 22, 2010 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. For more information about the telethon click here.

The earthquake that took place in Haiti last Tuesday is so unimaginable! Especially considering that the struggling country was devastated by a series of flooding just last year that killed over 800 people and left roughly 1 million people homeless. In addition, in 2008 a school collapsed killing over 80 children and school staff.

You add all the devastation that Haiti has experienced in recent years with the fact they are one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere (average person lives on $2 per day); more than half of the deaths in the country are attributed to AIDS/HIV; the rate of tuberculosis and malaria is tens times higher than that of any other Latin America country; the illiteracy rate is at a staggering 50% and the many years of political oppression due to a dictatorship-like rule by corrupt leaders, and I really weep for the people of Haiti!

Haiti was the first black country to gain their independence (from France) by leading a slave revolt and the first country in the western hemisphere to abolish slavery completely. Haiti paved the way for other countries to revolt against colonialist rule!

I’m glad that the whole world FINALLY has their eyes and hearts on Haiti, maybe now the country can get the assistance they have so desperately needed for decades. Haitians are a resilient people and they will persevere!

In related news, tomorrow, January 18, 2010, rapper Bun B of Houston's UGK will be hosting a concert fundraiser to support the Haiti relief. The "Houston for Haiti," concert is scheduled to be from 4-8 p.m. at the Warehouse Live in Houston. There will be appearances by Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young and performances by Bun B, Slim Thug, ESG, Corey Mo, Trae Tha Truth, Lil O, Candi Redd, Just Brittany, the Party Boyz, and more. R&B singer Keyshia Cole released a statement (see below) regarding the status of her relationship or lack thereof with her family.

Cole’s statement comes on the heels of her sister Elite (hint: lip piercing) allegedly commenting on her twitter page about Keyshia not purchasing Christmas gifts for her nieces and nephews. To add insult to injury, Keyshia’s mother Frankie reportedly claimed on a local Atlanta station that Keyshia and her fiance, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson of the Cleveland Cavailers, were already married
“To all my friends and fans,
It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.”
Love Your Girl,
I definitely feel where Keyshia is coming from with wanting to have a peaceful and drama-free environment, even more so, since she is starting a new family. Shit, I found myself on more than one occasion turning the channel cause I couldn’t deal with her family’s foolishness, so I can only imagine what Keyshia was going through.

If reports are true that Elite blasted Keyshia for not buying her nieces and nephews (I bet she was particularly salty about her son not getting nothing from Auntie Key Key), I’m going to need for her to go sit the phuck down somewhere STAT! Boo you just popped on the scene and who asked you to move to Atlanta anyway? Be grateful that God allows you to wake up every morning healthy enough to torture our eyes with that truly heinous lip ring. Get up, get out, and get something, with your ole begging ass!

According to TMZ, rapper Rick Officer Ross aka Thick Madame/Thick Wanksta Ross and Floyd “Pretty Boy” (Come again? Whatever helps you sleep at night Floyd) Mayweather’s entourage almost got to scrapping, after the two literally bumped into each other at the grand opening of Vanity at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Diddy diffused the situation before it escalated.

I never thought I would hear myself say this, but thank big baby Jesus that Diddy was there. At least he had the good sense to know that the occurrence of a fight would have phucked up his money diffuse the situation before it escalated.

Seriously, I’m going to need these Thicky Ricardo-type rappers and wannabe pretty boy boxers to have a phucking seat in 2010 with all this thuggery.

Half of today’s hip-hop stars are in the bing or on their way there. Thicky Ricky learn from your peers mistakes, cause God forbid you have to go to the pen….and you used to be a correctional officer with perfect attendance too…rock-a-bye thick baby!

I don’t know how this news got past my nosey a$$, but word on the skreets is that Regina King and Theo Malcolm Jamal Warner are an item!

About a month ago, Regina was on the Wendy Williams Show and they talked about her new love (amongst other things) and how they were smitten with one another.

I really wasn’t paying Regina and Wendy's conversation any mind since they refused to give the name of Regina’s new boo, until Wendy hinted that Regina's new boo was recently on her show.

I had been meaning to do some research on Regina’s new boo, but…I forgot, pardon a playa something more pressing came up.

So I did some digging, and lo and behold, it’s all in their grill in these flicks that they are indeed a couple. Congratulations Regina and Malcolm!!!

I know to some Chicks and Dicks, this information is a tad late, but hey, at least now ya know…and knowing is half the battle!

Unfortunately, her sales were not enough to give her the top selling album of 2009. Country sensation, Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” bested Boyle’s “I Dream a Dream,” selling a total of 3,217,000 albums in 2009.

No. 2 Lady Gaga's "The Fame," sold 82,000 copies this week.

Rihanna and her new boo, Matt "feelin' on her boootayyyy" Kemp of the Los Angeles Dogers were spotted dry humping funin' in the sun in Mexico yesterday (January 4, 2010).

Chicks and Dicks, please peep Kemp palming Rih's a$$; Kemp crouched in between her legs; and other forms of PDAs that SCREAM...WE SEXIN'!!!

The cause of death is undetermined.

UPDATE: A law enforcement source tells TMZ it appears Johnson had been dead for several days before her body was discovered.

Prior to Michael Jackson untimely death in June 2009, he recorded a song titled “Another Day” with rocker Lenny Kravitz. Parts of the song leaked recently and Kravitz who also served as the producer on the track, released a video statement via his twitter page to address the leak.
"It was one of the most amazing musical experiences that I've ever had," says Lenny, who points out that he did not leak the shortened, unmixed track. "It was done by two people who had respect for each other and who love music. That was it.

"I'd like to see this thing get straightened out as soon as possible," he continues, "because I'd like for you, the fans -- people who love Michael -- to be able to hear the track in its entirety the way it was meant to be, the way Michael and I had intended it to be."

Man, I swear-fo-god the internet is a gift and a curse. Sometimes I really feel for these artists whose tracks leak before it is ready for mass consumption. Then I remember how much dough some of these artists make and the feeling fades faster than a mug!

On one hand it can actually be a good thing (e.g. Lil Wayne release of The Carter III) but many times it can really harm the artist's project (e.g. 50 Cent believes that his “Before I Self Destruct” album leaking a month before its release was a major factor in his low album sales and not that fact he is a wanksta and don’t “nobody wanna hear that weak shit no more.”).

I hope the record label releases the final version of the song, but if they don’t I’m sure I’ll hear the song through other means…I’m just bullshitin’ mane…NOT!

Christian Casey LLC, the company that runs Diddy’s Sean John clothing line is suing mad.

According to TMZ, a lawsuit filed in New York, Diddy's company -- Christian Casey LLC -- leased a portion of a ground floor building on Fifth Avenue in NYC for its flagship [Sean John] clothing store.

Diddy lawyers claim sometime in 2006 the building owners put up sidewalk scaffolding and just left it there -- sending Sean John sales down the toilet -- down nearly 50%.

They claim the scaffolding "substantially obstructed the view of the clothing and furnishings displayed in the ground floor windows.
The company is reportedly suing for $2.5 million in damages.

Yeah, ok! It was the scaffolding obstructing the view of the storefront that cost Sean John’s sales to decline at the flagship store…and not those wackass “I am King” James Bond-esque commercial that made consumers want to reconsider.
