ALBUM SALES FOR THE WEEK ENDING DECEMBER 20, 2009

No. 1 Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream," sold 661,000 copies this week, bringing her total sales to 2,465,000.


No. 2 Alicia Keys’ "The Element of Freedom," debuts with 419,700 copies sold.


No. 3 Andrea Bocelli's "My Christmas," sold 390,000 copies.


No. 4 Taylor Swift’s "Fearless," sold 239,000 copies.


No. 5 Carrie Underwood's "Play On," sold 153,000 copies.


No. 6 Lady Gaga's "The Fame," sold 141,000 copies.


No. 7 Michael Bublé's "Crazy Love," sold 140,000 copies bringing his total records sales just past 1 million.


No. 8 Justin Bieber’s "My World," EP sold 127,000 copies.


No. 9 Robin Thicke's "Sex Therapy: The Session," debut with 123,200 copies sold.


No. 10 "Glee’s," second installment of the TV soundtrack, sold 111,000 copies.


No. 11 Michael Jackson's “This Is It,” sold 104,800 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 1,153,000.


No. 14 "Glee’s," first installment of the TV soundtrack sold 95,000 this week, bringing the soundtrack total sales to 521,000.


No. 18 Black Eyed Peas' “E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies),” sold 81,900 this week bringing the group’s total sales to 1,635,600.


No. 21 Rihanna's “Rated R,” sold 77,700 copies this week, bringing her total sales to 368,300.


No. 31 Chris Brown's “Graffiti,” sold 53,800 bringing his total two-week sales to 155,600.


No. 32 Michael Jackson’s “Number Ones,” sold 51,800. The album is just a few weeks shy of celebrating its one year anniversary release date and it has sold 3,986,700 copies.


No. 41 Gucci Mane's “State Vs. Radric Davis,” sold 41,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 131,000.


No. 45 Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint III,” sold 37,900 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 1,431,200.


No. 48 Snoop Dogg’s “Malice N’ Wonderland,” sold 34,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 93,000.


No. 60 50 Cent’s “Before I Self Destruct,” sold 26,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 305,000.


No. 94 Eminem’s “Relapse,” sold 16,000 copies this week, bringing his total sales to 1,567,000.


No. 172 The soundtrack to James Cameron’s film, "Avatar," debut with 10,000 albums sold.


No. 198 Phil Vassar's "Traveling Circus," debut with 9,000 albums sold.

“Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Dec. 20) totaled 15.14 million units, up 26% compared to the sum last week (12.00 million) and down 12% compared to the same sales week of 2008 (17.16 million). Year to date album sales stand at 357.5 million, down 13% compared to the same total at this point last year (411.4 million).”
