MOVIE FIX: FOR COLORED GIRLS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE... ADAPTION

Posted by: Roxxanne Roxxanne

According to AOL Black Voices, director/writer/producer/actor, Tyler Perry announced last week that he will be writing, directing, and producing the film adaption of Ntozake Shange's award-winning 1975 play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf."

Perry explained that his dream cast would include such stellar actresses as Oscar nominees Ruby Dee, Angela Basset, Cicely Tyson; Thandie Newton; Beyonce Knowles; Oscar winning actress Halle Berry; Maya Angelou, Kimberly Elise, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, and talk show god/Oscar nominated actress/humanitarian Oprah Winfrey.

I'll be the first in line if this dream cast materializes...* mimicking Hurricane Chris* Tyler Perry, Tyler Perry, can you throw Jennifer Hudson in the cast please.
